Accountant - Wind

Eneco Wind Belgium SA (EWB) is part of the Eneco group since 2008.  Eneco is a leading player in the renewable energies sector and aims to be carbon-free in 2035.  We develop, build and operate wind farms offshore and onshore.

As an Accountant, you’ll join a close-knit team of three experienced accountants, led by a Team Leader. You’ll manage a portfolio of 18 entities and rotate through various accounting processes, ensuring you gain practical experience across the team.

Your main responsibilities include:

Procure to Pay (P2P):

• Reviewing and posting incoming invoices
• Managing outstanding accounts payable and reminders
• Approving purchase order requests and following up on missing/incorrect goods receipts
• Verifying payment runs
• Trial Balance (TB) reconciliation

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Managing and issuing outgoing invoices
• Following up on unpaid invoices
• Turnover reconciliation
• Intercompany (ICO) recharges
• TB reconciliation

Balance Sheet:

• Managing fixed assets and verifying depreciation
• Handling activation/write-offs of assets
• Allocating dividend payments
• Reviewing ICO equity reports
• Managing ICO loans and posting related interests
• Bank postings
• VAT returns and reconciliation

Profit & Loss (P&L):

• Managing accruals/reconciliations (maintenance, insurance, operational LDs, wake losses, mutualisation claims/costs, landleases—IFRS16 and BE GAAP treatment, payroll, external staff, employee-linked insurance, tax including deferred tax)

• You are a native speaker of Dutch or French, with strong proficiency (B2 level) in the other official language and English.

• You have a degree in Accounting.

• You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar function.

• You have experience with SAP or another ERP environment.

• You are proficient with Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• You have experience in an international group (this is a plus).

• You have an affinity for jobs that impact the environment.

• You are accurate, professional, and organised.

• You are a good communicator who enjoys sharing knowledge and ideas.

• You are a respectful team player who is solutions-oriented.
