AP-AR Accountant

At Eneco, we believe that numbers tell a story, and we're looking for an Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP‑AR) Accountant to help us write the next chapter!

As our AP‑AR Accountant, you’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day AP and AR tasks, helping ensure timely and accurate processing while keeping things running efficiently.

Your mission will include the following tasks:

• Verifying and posting incoming AP invoices for all entities in a timely and accurate manner

• Following up on the approval process for AP invoices

• Processing and issuing customer invoices

• Monitoring AP ageing and ensuring all overdue items are clearly explained

• Following up on outstanding receivables and issuing customer payment reminders

• Reconciling AP & AR GL accounts and resolving discrepancies

• Supporting month‑end closing activities related to AP & AR

• Managing intercompany operations

• Collaborating with internal teams to resolve billing issues and improve processes

• Assisting with ad‑hoc tasks to support the accounting team during busy periods

• You have relevant experience in a similar function (minimum 5 years) and a degree in Accounting
• You are detail‑oriented, accurate and demonstrate a high level of professionalism
• You are organised, pragmatic and solution‑oriented
• You enjoy a varied role combining accounting and administrative tasks
• You are a strong communicator who enjoys sharing knowledge and ideas; stepping out of your comfort zone energises you
• You are a respectful team player and enjoy working in a small structure
• You are open to adopting Eneco’s strong corporate values
• You are a native speaker of Dutch or French, with strong proficiency (B2 level) in the other official language and in English
• You have experience with SAP or another ERP environment (must‑have)
• You are comfortable working with Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience in an international group is a plus
