Role

Eneco Wind Belgium SA (EWB) is part of the Eneco group since 2008. Eneco is a leading player in the renewable energies sector and aims to be carbon-free in 2035.

EWB develops, builds and operates wind farms onshore and offshore.

As Accounting Team Leader, you are part of the Finance & Legal team and you report directly to the CFO. You supervise and coach the accounting team, a team composed by five accountants. Your direct colleagues will include Business Control and Investment Analysis. As team leader, you assume responsibility for all accounting activities of the organization in order to contribute to correct financial policies. You are constantly looking for ways to improve the way you work. You are naturally open to change and you bring this positive energy to your team.

What will you do?

  • You supervise and support the accounting staff in processing incoming and outgoing invoices, inter-organizational settlement, fixed asset management and General Ledger to ensure progress of accounting and payment processes. You are able to do so in an environment where IFRS will be leading and being able to quickly tackle BEGAAP adjustments is a key requirement.
  • You coordinate and organize the various activities of the accounting team according to the priorities and abilities of each, and the needs of the organization in order to provide an efficient and effective service that meets the quality requirements of the organization within the established timeframes. In doing so, you’ll ensure both respect of existing accounting policies and processes and make your best to make it enjoyable for the team and yourself.
  • You motivate a team of accountants in order to make the best use of competencies, skills and know-how and to have a well-functioning team.
  • You reflect on and propose sound internal processes to ensure that frames and objectives are clear for everyone.
  • You take satisfaction to make people grow, both individually and as a team.

What we expect from you?

  • You have a Bachelor in Accounting;
  • You have min. 10 years of experience and are wise in the ways of both IFRS and BEGAAP;
  • You master SAP4/HANA;
  • You have strong communication skills;
  • You have min. 3 years of people management experience; you are a team player
  • You are not afraid of change, you like to define, implement and share new ideas
  • You are solution minded, you do what it takes to meet deadlines, you are proactive
  • You want to help lowering CO2 emissions (yes that’s what we basically try to do)
  • You are a Dutch or French native speaker and have a good command of English on top of Dutch/French
